Martin Nagy, born in 1961, received after the study of the school music (majoring in violin and voice), the lied class and opera in Stuttgart, he was first engaged as a soloist at the engagement at the Eduard von Winterstein Theater in Annaberg-Buchholz.
His most important teachers were Bruce Abel and Ernst Poettgen, later Douglas Hines and Friederike Lamparter. Courses with Nicolai Gedda and Ernst Haefliger completed his studies.
Since 1994 he has been a freelance opera and concert singer.
Song recitals with the pianist Ira Maria Vitoshynskyj. U.a. together with her he has made numerous radio and CD recordings. Newly published »Songs and Arias from Dresden« under the »Ars« label of the SWR (conception Dr. Joachim Draheim), as well as a first recording of the of the reconstructed opera fragment »Adrast« by Franz Schubert.
